For me, Gordie will always be the greatest of all time. Only got to see him play near the end, but that is enough for me. He IS a legend. He IS Mr. Hockey.

I once got into a pretty heated argument with Gordie. Imagine your hero telling you that you were "full of sh--." I still treasure the memory.

Geordie, a beautiful man but you didn’t do him wrong. At Olympia one night, I left a minute before the end of the game. I wanted to stand in line to see the players as they came off the ice. A kid decided he was going to pull Geordie’s stick out of his hand as Gordie walked by. So, Gordie walked by and I saw the kid reach down to steal Geordie’s stick. One flick of his stick and the young kid got a couple of stitches up near his eyes.

Gordie Howe is legendary, trying to watch a documentary about him with this many advertisements is almost impossible. When I get junk-mail I throw it out. When I see advertisements, I go to piss hoping that by the time I get back it will be over. I have never purchased anything because some advert told me to.

A little correction here ...... The Rocket was Babe Ruth ... more dramtic ... like 6 overtime goals Gordie was Joe Dimagio ...Much more talented in all aspects of the game ( never scored >ONE< O/ time goal ) Hull was Mickey Mantle .... Gretzky might be Ted Williams

Gordie was a cheap shot artist who screwed his own teammates by screwing up the union formation.Yeah he was 6 3 when most players were 5 9. Big deal.Rocket Richard was not stopable from the blue line in scored 50 goals in one season and 5 goals in 1 game, something Gordo never did.And the Rocket WON STANLEY CUPS!!!!

He wasn’t 6’3”, nice try, can’t use the internet? Even the Rocket was bright enough to respect Mr. Hockey, junior. Cheap shot artist…obviously you don’t get how the game works. Gordie could back it up, too. Howe old are you, do some real homework before you keep embarrassing yourself. 💤

This is good , but a correction is required .'The closing of the Montreal Forum produced the Greatest , Longest applause in NHL history , when the ovation for The Rocket was stopped by force . Had they not forced the ending of The Rockets ovation , thy might still be cheering . Gordie was in Montreal remember , and no ovation in Montreal for Gordie was ever going to outlast the ovation for Maurice Richard . That Gordies applause was going to be longer than any ovation for The Rocket is incorrect . ... with all due respect to Gordie .
