I felt I had wasted my time, it did not worth my time to explain. Even though we listen to the voice from your side, you will never listen from us. It is not constructive at all. Truly a pity.

As a Chinese student in Brock, I really want to get some sense out of this interview. Lived in China for 20 years, most of what he had said is not consistent with my experience. I guess what triggered you in the first place is the racist part, but I can guarantee you that China is no more racist than U.S. We have been invaded during World War Two by Japanese who thought they were superior people. How could we treat people in Africa as inferior people to repeat the mistake? The show he talked about was intented to be a gesture to show the friendship with African countries, but due to culture insensitivity, it was seen as kind of racist. I encourage you to search the gala and watch the part he mentioned to figure out by yourself. I still remember I felt inappropriate when I watched that part, the public voice actually apologized for that the day after. What is truly evil is only tell a part of truth. I quote Bertrand Russell “Love is wise, harted is foolish.”

before you publish any video, especially for those videos that you will send to your students via university channel, please conduct a little more of research on the topic. do you really believe it is appropriate to say that taiwan is the enemy of china in a public video? you don't even have a chiness background. matter of fact the origin of the virus is questionable, there are many evidence lead to the US as well. you are a university professor, please be more prudent when you send materials to your students. fyi, he only likes the comments that agreed woth his video. who's biased now?

It sounds like Mr.Gordon just weaved together tweets from POTUS and without any critical thinking, presented those tweets here. Also, I was shocked that a graduate from Law School would suggest kidnapping and confiscation without due process.

I just want to say people who have lived in one country, studied in one country or have family background of that country doesn’t mean they full understand everything about the country. That is to say, you cannot just call someone “the expert of XXX country” based on these things to grab public attention. And it is so funny people want to believe it. You sure can share your opinions, good or bad, just like other KZitemrs, because free speeches are allowed on the internet. But please, please keep these with your subscribers, family and friends. Please do not use it on education, because no one is actually the expert of any countries. Please do not use the University’s pubic email system to get more attention, because it is not your own email system and it really bothers some people.

Even tho it’s shocking to hear Gordon’s explanation of China under CCP is becoming so fascism, but as someone living in China for many years and keeping updated on Chinese internet, I have to say Gordon is right on so many things. Re-educational camps holding 1m+ innocent minorities, violent police actions in HK protests, the fact that CCP has tried so hard to cover up the virus at early stage, racism and hardships of Africans in Guangzhou.. are all happening right now. The world needs to know the truth about China becoming a totalitarian state right now under XI Jinping, CCP. However please stand in the shoes of Chinese people for one second before some dumb fellow go out and hate crime against Chinese, we don’t have any weapon and with extreme internet censorship (that I’m not surprised I get to sit with the police as a result of this comment) we are unable to fight against CCP, but many of us do not like China to go down this route like this at all

I came here hoping to broaden my horizon and learn how North American countries like the US and Canada can decouple trade from Asian country like China - like the description suggested, it was supposed to be an economic discussion. Instead, I heard misconstrued ideology and biased personal opinion from a less-qualified middle age man whose expertise has nothing to do with Economy nor Virology. What a waste of time. And hypocritic discussion, hiding behind the mask of online “education”-shame on you.

Thank you for having Gordon on! I used to think he was too much of a China hawk but now I wish we’d taken him more seriously years ago.
