True Sportsmanship. I am a Kiwi and so support both the Queensland and New South Wales Rugby League Teams. Best Rugby League Teams / Players in the World. All hail to Australia for all their great rugby league players and referees past and present. They gave us fans so much good entertaining sport to enjoy over the years. Simply the best. Kia ora ra / thank you. King Wally, Big Mel, The Chief.................etc the list of names of great Australian rugby league players is endless.

I was at Q&A with an NRL player who said that the biggest mistake you could make was to upset Tallis, so much so that the opposition would complement him on his tackles to keep him calm, cause once he had his blood up all he cared about was destroying anybody in the wrong colour jersey. Never sledge Tallis was his rule.

It took the NSW side a long time to work that out about Greg Dowling too. They used to give it to GD, but all that did was make him more and more angry and the angrier he got, the better he played. When they finally learned to leave him alone, they started to win a few.

Gordon was one of those great, unforgettable characters of league. He was brave, loyal and brilliant in defence and attack. He has been inducted into the hall of fame, and quite rightly regarded as one of the very best of all time. He scored 9 tries in 13 games for Australia. That is an amazing stat for a forward. By comparison, the great Arthur Beetson scored one in 29 and Ray Price 10 in 22.

Sadly, the second one was a knock on.. It was a mistake and harrigan hardly makes any mistakes. But I cant blame Harrigan sending him for calling him a cheat. As Great as Tallis has been, he was out of place. Kinda nice to hear he did apologize. I remember being pissed about it when I watched the game that night. The mistake costed us the game. But have alway thought Harrigans been one of the best referees in the game til this day.
