If you have KBG in your lawn or a mixed stand of Kentucky Bluegrass and Rye or Fescue there's always a good chance that you are going to see a bit of powdery mildew in the shadier parts of your lawn from mid September through October.

Many people apply fungicides to cure diseases like this but I don't apply them in my lawn so I decided to attack my small patch using cultural intervention and a DIY treatment.
I even made it a family event and had a fun time in the lawn with the kids while doing the whole thing.

► If you do want to use a fungicide to treat powdery mildew in your lawn propiconazole is an option to consider. It's not something I use in my lawn but a ton of homeowners do use it successfully: www.amazon.com...
