Wow, such a creative video! Love the black and white, music, use of the magnifying glass and candle as props and just all of it! I’m also waiting on receiving the Bohemian Goth tarot.

Hi, Una! Yay, so glad you enjoyed the video...I was surprised by how much fun I had with the editing. I don't think I could have done all my Goth Lit exploration without my candle and magnifying glass ... and Beethoven 😆 Neat you are getting the Bohemian Gothic tarot, too. I didn't know the creators had changed some of the faces that held me back from getting it previously, so doubly excited on that front 😊

Bailey! Thank you so much for creating this tag! I have really been enjoying the book exploration and getting back to visiting the library on a more regular basis! Love our librarians 🥰 A playlist would be fantastic! I am looking forward to checking them out 😊

Beautifully filmed video! You definitely captured the Gothic vibe. Even down to the black lines that were moving vertically on the screen throughout. Loved that! I have been an anne rice fan from way back. I have read most of her novels. Also a big Mary Shelley fan. Finally, I am very drawn to cemeteries. I live near a cemetery that was built in the early 1800s. It was designed by the same man who designed central park in New York. It is where a lot of famous writers and architects are buried. I visit the cemetery every week. I love to sit and read and write and imagine the lives of people buried there. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!

I am so glad you enjoyed the video! Cool that you were a big Anne Rice fan, too! I realized after I posted the video that I misspoke, stating I read her work in the "early to mid-2000's" ...I meant to say 90's 😂 Oopsies! I intend to try to read Mary Shelley when I get a chance. That cemetery near you must be lovely and sounds like a peaceful spot to sit and write! I have lived in a couple cities that feature Olmstead's public landscape design. Thanks for commenting and sharing 😊

Wow, this was so beautifully conceived my friend, loved every minute of it! Thank you for taking the time to edit your vision into this video ❤ I hope you enjoy Nathaniel Hawthorne, he’s one of the best. My reading of Polidori’s The Vampyre became a little history lesson, so I appreciated that aspect of it as well. The Beethoven piano sonatas just encapsulate the passion of the Romantic era, perfect for this theme ❤

Hi! I am so happy you enjoyed it ☺️ I have been really enjoying the unexpected roads this book tag has taken me to. Polidori's The Vampyre was quite a short tale, which I hadn't known. I am just getting into Edith Wharton and her ghost stories are so good! Waiting for a collection of these...from the library. My reading will definitely continue through December, and beyond, I imagine. This has been so much fun❤...cheers! 🍷

Yes! It’s great you’re having just as much fun with it as I am 😊 The creativity of your video attests to this ❤I’ve read Edith Wharton, but not any of her ghost stories, I’m intrigued! I’m sure I’ll be reading into December too, and I’ll probably want to do this again next year.

I loved this so much! Great moody footage and I like the aesthetic choice of making it black and white. I enjoyed seeing all of your tarot deck choices, plus the books and films. I really need to read Interview With a Vampire, the film is so good! I also went down a bit of vampire rabbit hole in November (unintentionally). I've been using a vampire tarot deck and much millennial vampire-yness ensued. 🤦♀️😂

Aw, so glad to hear you enjoyed my little noir video excursion. Ooh, I am curious...what vampire deck did you use? November has been quite a vampy month for me, too 🦇 You will love Interview with a Vampire ...warning: they are chronicles, so you may find yourself reading a stack of books! 😅

Thanks For the tip! I'll wait untill I have some more time to read the Anne Rice books then 😂. I used the new Tarot of Vampires deck from Llewellyn. It's a post Anne Rice take on vampires, modern Urban Fantasy style. I grew up reading/watching that stuff so I love it! 😂

Of course, now I remembering your video of that deck 😜 Love that you are having post Anne Rice vibes with it! I just watched A Haunting in Venice and loved it! The sets in that one were fantastic...it was a Gothic film, for sure, with the house being such a prominent entity in its own, the vengeful ghosts, the claustrophobic feeling....all of it. So good!
