This record is an ultimate example of the fact that you can know in your heart when you see an album cover, see the year it was made, that it's going to be amazing. I had just started listening to more obscure bands, in 1999 or so, and heard one song by Gotham City. Found this record some months later and bought it without hesitation for €35. Upon hearing this song come out of the speakers, the intro riff, fate was sealed. Another dimension had been discovered.

fucking hell this is so raw i just like the fact there is a band called gotham city, a metal band from sweden. 80s metal magic. must of had only one album. i like them they seem to have been a real tight unit. love this track of warriors and their swords. heavy metal forever. \m/

Zackrison sounds quite good here, surprising because I've never been much of a fan of his vocals on Nocturnal Rites early albums.

I'm not actually. In Nocturnal Rites he sounded like the typical generic power metal singer. I never said his vocals on those albums were bad but they certainly aren't anything to heap a whole lot of praise at. His voice sounds considerably more unique and has more character on the Gotham City releases.
