I've been practicing CG for more than 20 years. with one published book and teaching experience until 4 years ago. obviously i have seen most of instructional videos on this issue so believe me when I say: you are one the most decent and useful CG instructors. keep up the good work dear.

This has got to be the most detailed video I have ever seen regarding grace notes on a classical guitar. Thank you for this video, Ms. Vardanyan. Take care. William

Thanks for sharing your expertise, particularly on a topic that's not usually explained so intelligently and thoroughly by most other guitar teachers. All your videos are explained exceptionally well, and you deserve credit for that. Many thanks again and warm regards, Gohar.

I don't play, but I'm an avid listener. I like listening to these lessons. It helps me to hear more in the pieces. I also listen to the same piece played by as many different guitarists as I can find. All of it enriches my experience of the music..

Very nice lesson. An aside - I was noticing as you gesture how elegant your hands look.

Thank you so much for your video. I wonder if you would explain apogiaturas that descend or ascend to more than one note. For example a G# to an F# over a D. Thank you. The way you explain things make sense to me.

Great advice! Thanks. I'm learning Canario by Calvi, and there are a lot of ornaments in it.

Thank you for the good tutorial! I love all your lessons & tutorial. Do you have a good advice or exercise to master grace note on Tàrrega’s Capricho Arabe bar#16? My pinky missed it most of the time.

The info about slashes is incorrect. All 19th century treatises that mention it say (with examples) that a normal grace note takes half the value of the note. A crotchet becomes two quavers. A grace note with a slash is a short note, and might take a quarter or an eighth of the note attached. In both cases the grace notes (slash or no slash) begin on the beat. To play them before the beat just sounds unrefined. This mistake (that grace notes come before the beat) stems from some modern misunderstanding in classical guitar schooling.
