There are lots of older fans like me (63), enjoying her rise to stardom. Not only does her music touch our hearts on an adult level, but there is another reason. Since watching her and rooting for her on AGT, I think we feel like parents watching their kid make it. We just feel so proud! LIKE OR REPLY TO AGREE.

Agreed. More than that, it’s watching the birth of something that we never have seen and probably never will the rest of our lifetime. That’s why she is so special. Old, middle aged, young adult, teenager, and the very young all feel a presence greater than anything that can be explained! Unique, special, old soul, angel, mega star, she encompasses all of these.

Major fan here. I'm 70. I'm reminded of the early sixties, when the music world began to hear so many new voices changing the zeitgeist. I think Grace is an outlier whose presence is going to change the music biz in a big way.

John Wood I believe you, John. She has had the same affect on me, and I’m 72. On more than one occasion her words have taken me back through a troubled past, allowing me once and for all, not only to heal but to finally transcend all the suffering I experienced as a child. I am free now. Bless you.

Went directly on, the room was a great place to see her, lots of kids got right up front, I was among last in but still had standing room to see fairly well. I sensed no one wanted the moment to end! Life is very fleetingly, moment was pure joy to witness.

It's great to see her stage performance and her totally natural movement on stage, of course also her fantastic voice but what is so breathtakingly wonderful is clearly she is enjoying her performance as much as her fans are. This girl has found her vocation in life, she is the most total and natural entertainer there is. During "Gossip Girl" she actually plays with the audience in a totally professional way, how come she has learnt this amazing performers skills in just 18 months.

I could type for a while and give examples for not only agreeing with what you've said, but also for what you haven't said...but I think about the last 1 1/2 yrs. since Grace won AGT, and I am (CONTINUALLY) BLOWN AWAY by what Grace has done for herself, and I try to find an answer to how she did this...BASICALLY (and relatively) OVERNIGHT?!! And there's no REAL ANSWER...except that Grace is AMAZING! Grace found her nitche in life early, which involves making us think closer about how we are with our lives.
@Nonduality

My sense is that winning AGT at age 12 with original songs seasoned her pretty quickly and thoroughly. But she wouldn't have won it without a tremendous intelligence about what her audience wants and how to give it to them. Plus she has a lot of other gifts working in combination that contribute to her performing like a 40 year old legend.

I agree with you all and especially Bean Pot, Her brilliance comes primarily from within herself, her attitude, her intelligence and her natural inbuilt warmth, but it has to be nurtured and the folk around her who she or someone has selected most carefully, have the skill to do that perfectly. Let us also not forget that the single biggest influence on this true star is her family especially her Mum and Dad, and not of course forgetting Olivia, all of whom have shaped and moulded what was already there into the wonder that is Grace.

Aside from THE INTENSE STATIC...I loved her energy, her IMMENSE SWAGGER, her connection with HER AUDIENCE and they with her, her backup, her voice, the lyrics, the messages, her dresses, her hair, and how she moves when she dances, and SICK OF BEING TOLD...GRACE JUST ROCKS THIS SONG!!!! And even when she momentarily messed up on TALK GOOD she was really Graceful, (and whatever else I missed). I would've loved to have been there. Thanks Doug for these precious memories! thanks for the upload.. I'm glad Grace doesn't mind people recording. I guess part of it is just her generation. The rest is equal parts Grace's generosity and her intelligent marketing instincts. It's refreshing after watching Metallica make millions then start crying about fans downloading their music. Ultimately I think Grace just likes to share, and her Fanderwaals are the same way.

This girl just sucks you in. While her music sounds typically "pop-ish" it's her lyrics that grab you! They are so deep and insightful, not that vapid codswallop older artists spew forth. The one thing I hate is when people who have no knowledge of music or how it is created start comparing her to so and so, Grace does not sound like anybody else, she sounds like Grace, like her song says, she is So Much More Than This!
