Just as much as you love making these videos for us… We love watching them! You are such a huge inspiration and a wonderful motivator… or, should I say, a guilty pleasure and sometimes a distraction from getting my own PhD work done! Lol… truly look forward to your videos!

I think about research the same way! Maybe it's a humanities thing, but I'm not sure the idea of "filling a gap" works for a lot of us. A lot of the times I'm just contributing to the conversation by relating two theories or concepts together which have never been put together before, or I'm analyzing something from a different lens... When I compare myself with ppl in the social sciences and STEM I get such imposter syndrome because of what "doing research" means for me... Lol That quote from the article is so great! Really highlights the political importance of your research. So so interesting!!

All research is either extending a conversation/ discourse or presenting a new one

I just want you to know I love these vlogs! I am in a Master’s of English program at Northeastern University and have applied concepts about embodied and multimodal rhetoric that I learned from your vlog in multiple classes - and even referenced this vlog as evidence for the utility and validity of multimodal writing. :) Thank you for sharing!

I never really comment but just want to say I absolutely love your vlogs. You’re the first channel I always check for a new video from in my subscriptions and I absolutely love watching a long vlog from you while I get ready in the morning for my own grad student life. Just really appreciate your content!!

So cool to see what you’re reading and preparing for your class! I have similar interests in research-writing, rhetoric, and social media. Also totally relate to nausea and wondering if it’s anxiety or not😅 literally watched this video while nauseous and unable to sleep.
