Zegras was rated unfairly this season. He was playing catch up early in the season after missing 2 weeks of training camp, was playing through injuries all season. When Zegras returned at the end of the season he was the best player on the ice for the ducks

I'm giving a Byram an A just for that cup run. There were stretches where he was the Avs best defenseman, especially when Girard went out. He was exactly what the Avs needed and I'd give it an A+, but Seider would have been even better.

Zegras will be a perennial point per game guy now that he’s got a finisher in Cutter

I can easily see that happening, crazy how everyone switched up on his after 31 bad games.

@@MikeBartner in reality he never even played that badly throughout the year, his production was poor through his first 12 but it was recently revealed he dealt with a groin injury which obviously impacted his production, upon both of his returns (from the groin and ankle injuries respectively) he looked like his normal self and even a competent defensive player most nights. Even started to generate off the cycle towards the end of the season

@@thekillers1stfan he’s got immense upside. Elite vision/playmaking and a beast in transition who’s produced despite being in a suboptimal environment his entire career to this point (linemates who can’t finish, Eakins as his coach for 2.5 years) he’s a dynamic offensive generator/driver and the elite production will come now that Anaheim has a scary young nucleus, assuming they don’t all get hurt like last year of course

I know you gave Seider an A, but your reasoning doesn't really fit. 32 teams with 6, some 7 defenseman playing more than 40 games a season, so about 185-190 active defenseman in the league. Seider is better than top 60. Probably top 20. He has 200+ block shots and hits this year. And almost more impressively, he hasn't missed a game in his 3 year career.

How about a trade of Habs #28 and Arizona's #6. Habs # 28 and Matheson for Lindstrom or Catton whoever is still available. That's paying heavy for a move up but it can work for both teams. Reply

It wouldn't make sense for Utah cause they are building for the future and Matheson isnt a long term option for a rebuilding team. They can select a dman who can become much better than matheson wuth that pick.

Sorry but MS is an A plus player and Stevie Y picked the best player in that draft PERIOD. He wasn’t even expected to go until 15 or later. And like you said he plays against the best players on every team. And the most minutes every game. The guy is a STUD. Hasn’t even missed a single game yet. A plus. And if he stays healthy he should break the iron man record. Go Red Wings!!!!!!!!!!!!
