We are Cindy and Eddie and this is SQUEEZEtheDAY.
We live to travel. Before the pandemic, we've been to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and a couple places in the US. The pandemic has changed the way we can travel safely, so now we are looking for ways to do that. We moved out of our apartment and made an old RV our home, giving us a chance to see all of America in a home on wheels.
On April 7, 2021, we lost our home. We will leave a link to that in the description. For the past three months, we’ve been working to restore our ability to travel. On June 9th, we were presented with an opportunity to travel the country again. This time, we’re going to spend 30 days in 30 hotels, and all of them are the 30 Graduate Hotels across the country. We don't have a home, but at least we can travel for the whole month of July. (This video is not sponsored by Graduate Hotels)
How are we able to travel America exploring Graduate Hotels? By taking advantage of something called the Hall Pass. On June 9th, we paid $500 for this Hall Pass which enables us to stay at a different hotel every night for the entire month of July. We will tell you more about it in August when we are done.
An exciting challenge we've decided to try is, we will be attempting to post a new video every day for the month of July. This is the first time we’ve tried anything like this, so bear with us as we learn how to do it. Welcome new subscribers to the channel and thank you to everyone that’s been helping us out with our GoFundMe page. We are working to get back into an RV as soon as possible and your help goes a long way to make that happen.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with finding a new home through GoFundMe: gofund.me/20645795
Here’s what happened to our home: • Video
Here’s the story of how that happened: • Video
The first hotel we are going to is in Providence, Rhode Island. This is the location of Brown University. We are super excited to start our journey across the U.S. looking at all of the open Graduate Hotels. We’ve been doing our research and this is one of the top rated locations.
We’ve had a long drive through New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts to get to Rhode Island, so we are ready to rest. But first, let’s show you how great this hotel is. Once upon a time, this was part of the Biltmore Hotel chain. Historically famous, you can appreciate the historic glass elevator (no longer in use) behind the gorgeous staircase clearly visible as soon as you walk in.
Off to the right is the reception. Here, you can check in as well as find out about renting bicycles and the rest of the amenities here. Take a look around this amazing hotel so you can enjoy it’s beauty, the study areas, and the gym.
Tune in tomorrow to see what our next hotel stay will be on our one month tour.
Thanks for joining us. Make sure you hit the like button, subscribe and ring the bell for notifications so you can keep following along as we continue our adventures.. And remember as always Squeeze the Day and be well
We wanted to let everyone know that we are able to make these videos so well due to the use of a DJI Osmo stabilizer. And it was edited using Adobe Premier Pro on an HP Spectre laptop. We’ve provided links below to anyone interested in getting the Osmo or computer for themselves. These are great tools to help make any video better. We would also like to invite you to take a minute to look into using the Boondockers Welcome app. This has allowed us to travel to many locations across the US and save so much money by staying at other Boondockers Welcome members houses. Check it out for yourselves. We also recommend everyone in an RV to have the right safety gear, including a Trailer Aid. We have a link for that as well. Please be safe out there.
That concludes this trip, however there are many more to follow. Make sure you like and subscribe as well as select the notifications bell so you can keep up with us. We would also love to hear your thoughts on the video so go ahead and leave a comment below. And as always, Squeeze the Day!!!
