This Graham is without doubt my favourite bonsai video on KZitem. The kind of thing that gives beginners like myself the hope of having made something beautiful without having spent thousands of pounds.

This is mindblowing. I didnt know it was possible to take a "cutting" of that size and root it successfully!

I have a bougainvillea that started out as a cutting roughly the same diameter as your green privet. I was skeptical it would root at all, but I was fortunate to have experienced mentors who convinced me to give it a try. 25 years later, it's literally my #1 tree, and really still in development. Thanks for another really interesting video...and the Black Adder reference!

A maple tree broke and fell over in a neighbor’s yard. It’s about the same size as your privet and hollow all the way up. Did you do anything else to protect the wood? Or is that dark layer suficiente to protect it?

I have been watching your videos for years. I have never grown or owned a bonsai tree. 👍🏽

Did you treat the tree with lime sulphur after cleaning out the "pulp"?
