HI Aaron, thanks a lot. The idea is to give a customer experience using the G70 instead of a “pro youtuber” review... Next video will be published this weekend. Stay tuned!

Hi, it's the - Raspberry Pi Touch Display 7" - which also acts like a case. You can google it or check the manifacture's webpage. cheers!

Great video! When you use the GF app via wifi, does the GF app on an anandroid device or PC make the alarms for stages of brew like the old controller?
@mdbrewery8613

Hi, yes the notifications arrive on your android phone via the app and the controller still beeps like the old one. As it's WIFI you can go further away from the GF as long as you've got signal. But I don't know if it's a good idea to go to far away :-)

Really liked your video. Btw, did the insulation on the conical had a big effect on cooling capability? Thanks in advance for your answer. Hope you'll make more content

Hi, well the insulation on the conical is quite useful for lagers (low fermentation temperatures) and during cold crashes… you get less condensation on the fermenter and probably use less energy. In my opinion, it also helps to give a little more inertia and stability to fermentation temperature. If your cellar has a ambient temperature close to your fermenting temperature, you can surely do without the insulation on the conical. Hope it helps. Yeah, I’m going to post my second video next week. Big batch of 55l. Thanks for your comment. seeya

Are the problems fixed on the G70. David Heath and others had problems with this model G70

Hi, there have been sevral firmware updates since. The mash tempreture is more stable now and doesn't jump around. Especially, if you let the wort circle down the center pipe. You need a good flow rate to reduce the delay between the heating and tempreture at the sensor. Just my 2 cents.

Why not use the old Grainfather for mash? It even has a pump so you won’t have to jug the mash water

Hi, yes some people do that. It's a good idea. unfortunately I've lent my old system to a friend on the long term. But i've upgraded my sparge system since this video.

What was your boil off rate with 25L batch size ? Thank you.

Hi Vincent, I think it was somewhere around 4l/h. The boil was indeed vigorous for such a small batch Cheers.
