We lost a good man with Gram Parsons. The Apostle Paul said Question all things. Hold onto that which is Sacred. The Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary Loves All Life to the Fullest.❤ To the Africans, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears African. To the American Indians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears American Indian. To the Asians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears Asian. To the Australians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears Australian. To the Europeans, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears European. To the Indians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears Indian. To the Melanesians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears Melanesian. To the Micronesians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears Micronesian. To the Polynesians, the Sacred Heart of the Virgin Mary appears Polynesian. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me- holy is His name. It is a felony that this man is not inducted into the hall of fame of country music. And of rock'n roll, but mostly country music. He should clearly be in both, having been instrumental in creating the country rock genre. Especially compared to what passes for country music today, Gram's music is on another level altogether.

Just hearing this, I would not have recognized that as Gram. That was recorded in Europe, when he stayed with Kieth for a few weeks, before Kieth's Old Lady kicked him out. They were drinking and partying non stop. Probably around 69-70. There is a tape floating around on KZitem of him and Kieth jamming on acoustics for a couple of hours. No vocals. But somewhere in there you can hear Wild Horses. Which came out on the Stones Sticky Fingers in 71. Just an observation. My last observation.... Damn, I'm getting old. 😀. Peace

+darwinia55 I produced the album "Another Side of This Life" in 2000 for Sundazed Music. It was recorded in my home on a Sony 500 tape machine when we were teenagers. It is definitely Gram Parsons. I was there...literally, and I have the original masters. In fact, I have a terrific concert recording of Gram's folk group, the Shiloh's, from 12/20/1964. Gram and I were very close. Met in 1959 and remained good friends until his death. In fact, I just played (I'm a pro musician), his 69th birthday celebration on Nov. 5, 2015 in Winter Haven at the Derry Down, the folk club his stepfather Bob Parsons bought for him. Every talented artist stretches, grows, experiences and explores various areas of music and retains what they need from the plateaus they were on at a given time. Gram was a great folk artist and did the Greenwich Village scene and the Cambridge scene in Boston. He later emerged into what he's best known for. But that can't discount what he learned from his folk days. Fred Neil was perhaps a bigger influence on Gram than any of the country artists he revered. Believe me, Darwin, I was there. Glad you enjoyed the performance. Hang in.
