Ayagaures hamlet is at the end of a deep valley in the south of Gran Canaria, north of Maspalomas. The name Ayagaures comes from the areas pre-Hispanic language and means “between two mountains”. The valley’s reservoir is one of the island’s most important and picturesque.
The hamlet can be reached from either a low road coming up through the attractive valley, or from a steep road descending from the spectacular viewpoint of Mirador de Cleo.
This video is of the low road, finishing at a vantage point beyond the hamlet and overlooking the reservoir.
Shot on a helmet-mounted GoPro 10 camera on the 1st June 2024.
