I really liked the 4960. One question, what whistle does it have?

Gotta admit that Baldwin made some of the best locomotives including 4960.

Loved to see one for 29 in the future if there's one planned since we've seen the f40s already and 4960 and even those 3 private cars too

That sure is a pretty almost steam punk MU stand. A few knife switches would complete the ambiance. Seriously. Nice job and nice bright work. As a blacksmith, I always lamented human DNA sadistic omission of a third functioning arm and hand. Seems it would be a handy arrangement during wheel skip conditions for simultaneously operating the throttle, sander lever and sander button. Oh! I get it. The engineer is moving near the speed of light, so time slows down enough to be able to push the button, grab the throttle, flip the sanding lever, rinse and repeat.

The engineer and fireman were playing a symphony in steam. All movements were choreographed and precise.

I posted a comment earlier about the GCR's F40 locomotive. But for me, you can't beat steam! I think this video demonstrates how steam power can be updated for the 21st century. Keep up the good work guys!

As for the 4960 CB&Q tender, it too was scrapped. It had severe rust issues and would've been too small for the 64-mile trip from Williams to the South Rim.

4960's planned operations for this year have been pushed to next year due to covid. As of right now, it's on display at the depot.
