This song was playing in a 99 cent store today and I began singing with it. My wife said she was embarrassed because I can't sing. I told her the song brings back memories of the spring of 1975 for me. I was in junior high and was scared to talk to a couple of girls at my school. This song was perfect for my teen age angst. My wife said those girls are probably mothers or grandmothers by now. I told my wife wait until we get home and I'll google A Bad Time To Be In Love , and sing it to you! 1975 was a great year for music.😊😊😊😊

Damn Right. Grand Funk taught the people of America some serious things about themselves as a whole. Grand Funk was a frontrunner in so many areas. I remember them first as a long-haired hippie fairly hard rock band that everyone's parents would have nothing to do with -- no way, Jose! AND THEN, this song, Bad Time, hit the air and all our mothers were singing along with the latest Grand Funk song the following month. It was a 180 degree flip in reality. That is what I witnessed and what I remember because it was truly a huge social movement taking place in itself and it cracked the ice in so many other soon-to-be-following areas socially speaking.

Buffy smith I blame Partridge Family music turning me into a Rock N Roll freak. Buffalo, NY had a great music scene in 70s 10 years of concerts 4 every summer at Bills Stadium. Rolling Stones liked Buffalo they played here 6 times. Big Bummer Led Zeppelin cancelled when Roberts son passed away poor kid was only 7 years old. We did get to see some big bands, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, The Who, The Clash, Reo Speedwagon, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd. It was cool almost every band opened saying HELLO BUFFALO. That Buffalo called SNOW CAPITAL OF USA. Its true Lake Erie dumps 10 feet every winter. Even worse we have to wait till July to enjoy the Lake because Lake Erie frezzes over. This hits home. Spring 74. Junior prom. My g/f (who I was crazy about) started acting...sketchy. Dumped me that night. Turns out she was 'dating' a friend of mine. Some things you don't forget.

niall gormley Im a PISCES born to like Rock N Roll Music, also a PISCES is very Friendly to people. I grew up with a big IRISH Family 8 brothers & sisters. Mom & Dad had IRISH names O'GRADY - KELLY. Moms side gave us kids 16 first cousins. They named me JAMES PATRICK O'GRADY don't get more IRISH than that. All the girls thought my IRISH Freckels were cute on my face. Freckels are also called ANGEL KISSES. I grew up with Partridge Family music. Buffalo, NY had a great music scene in 70s early 80s. 10 years of concerts 4 every summer at Bills Stadium. Rolling Stones played here 6 times, I nicknamed Mick Jagger ( A ROOSTER ON ACID ) cause of his energy on stage. Led Zeppelin 2 times. Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Neil Young, Reo Speedwagon, Journy The Who, The Clash, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gratefull Dead, Country singer Alan Jackson, To bad they couldn't get David Cassidy from Partridge Family. The crowd went crazy when Bob Seger said HELLO BUFFALO. A lot of people don't like Buffalo because of all the snow we get. Buffalo winters are 5 months long November - March. Some years ST PATS PARADE gets cancelled because of too much snow. Lake Erie dumps 10-12 feet every winter. We do get a break in late winter from snow because Lake Erie frezzes over. But with the Lake freezing we have to wait till July to have summer fun. Im an IRISH AMERICAN Proud to say I know my limits with Alcohol. Always Not lying about 16 cousins. Sorry but Im Proud of my IRISH HEARTIAGE. Always WHITE CHRISTMAS IN BUFFALO
