They say there are infinite combinations to make music. I would disagree. Having lived when I did assures me all music combinations have been discovered and this was the zenith of that discovery. Anything after the.2000s is a rehash.

😊 I'm glad they had rock bands like this years ago. Last month was March and this song turned 50 years old. It was released in 1974. Good song shine on I. I agree with the other gentlemen comment. They should be in the rock and roll Hall of Fame Grand funk railroad. They had some good songs back then. Thank you. I still like to listen to songs like this. They got meaning when you listen to them thank you.

I still listen to it now and then they were one of the good bands back then when they first came out in the early '70s and all the other bands. Thanks for the response back. Take care.

I had never heard it until tonight on the way home from work. I'm here to listen to it another 500 times. Broadcast from a classic station in north Alabama...I'm in Georgia. They threw it down. I'm gonna have to listen to more of their music. 🤙🤙🤙

I played bass to this in my first band called Sanctum in Natick MA in 72.....We had a 13 piece Slingerland drum set, a Hammond B3 organ with a Leslie speaker, a guitarist with a Gibson SG and I had a Fender Precision bass with an Ampeg B25B amp....those were the days my friend

I'm 62 years old my name is Maria grew up with Grandfunk Railroad and other musicians like Steve Miller, Eric Clapton, Doors, Rolling Stones, Peter Frampton to name a few awesome years I grew up and still today 2023. Grandfunk Railroad the American Band needs to come to my town and party down.

My dad came today with a new old car, went to eat some burguers and wanted to listen to some music, but the radio didn't work. We pushed all the buttons and this was the 30' song from the CD, i was crazy to know the title and asked him he said it was from Black Sabath, i said no way this is from BS, he said yes. I'm glad that i wrote the lyrics in our chat and searched it!!!

KLOS in Los Angeles is the longest running rock station in LA. They only play American Band and they do it infrequently.

Great song that has it all. I get immense joy knowing I lived through the kick ass rock of the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. Each generation skilled musicians who knew how to write songs that touched us emotionally. Like my Mom used to say if you want to get girls learn to dance. This music made you move and she was right🤘

My mom hated this song. Probably because I played it and practiced the guitar parts for months. The organ part too. I learned so much from this song. I realize now, some 45 years later that I still play these licks that I learned when I was a sophomore. edit: sure wish I could sing that high!

This song absolutely gets me grooving. Don't know why peeps gotta come on these things and spout crap. Like Christine said in Detroit Rock City "Good tunes is good tunes." If you love music in any form you are truly blessed. I just happen to like a lot of different stuff. 70's rock is an amazing genre tho. Must have been something in the water.
