I did not hesitate to purchase this firearm as I had been waiting for this review to come out. I was impressed by the fact that you mentioned that you have shot over 400 different firearms and this is one of your favorites. Additionally the spinner target results, as well as, the practical accuracy results were impressive. It's also worth mentioning that the shot placements on the circles are some of the best that I have seen. My main reason for purchasing this firearm is to enable me to allow new shooters to use a 9mm pistol that will have a softer recoil (with the rotating barrel) while using the Sterling ammo. Thanks for all you do for us in narrowing down our purchasing decisions to make the best use of our money.

After receiving this pistol I disassembled it to clean it. I spent an hour trying to reassemble it. I finally took off the recoil spring and practiced putting the slide back on without the tension, but it was still extremely difficult to put the slide back on. You have to push the back of the slide down in order to press the hammer down beyond its normal pulled back position. What a nightmare to put back together. This is 😊nothing like a Walther PPK reassembly. Absolutely the worst pistol to ever reassemble! If I had known this I would not have ever purchased this pistol. Totally disappointed with the engineering though that went into the pistol in regard to its care and maintenance.

For red dot lovers: I was able to mount a full size Holosun EPS 6moa using the provided RMSc plate. It required a super-light filing of the front posts to get the optic to hit the bottom of the place to the point you cannot see any light between the optic and the plate. Also - I was able to get GP’s suppressor height sights which get you a nice low 1/3 co-witness. Global Ordnance should stock the sights shortly. What a great gun!!! (I may also try to get a custom plate made as the looks can be better - definitely not a must)

comparing this review with your review of the old K100 and watch both in slow motion. It looks like the new K100 is more snappy. Must have something to do with the new mechanism. I've been interested in Grand Power for a while now, especially the K100, P11, and P1. I just saw on their website a model P1S MK23, which I really like. After some time on their site I can't seem to find either model with a decocker. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but I do prefer them. I believe you did a video some time ago on a variant of the K100 that did have a decocker. Is that no longer in production?

The target camera was the old main camera. It was retired because it got too unreliable. We get what we get with it. The most rounds I have through a Grand Power would likely be about 10,000 through a K100 or 7,000 through an X-Calibur, but that's nothing compared to the rental gun in Slovakia that has over 120,000 documented rounds with only spring replacements done to it.

Curious if anyone has installed a red dot on the K100 MK23 "Optics Ready" pistol. No documentation was provided on which optic plate number matches up to which footprint. I can figure that out on my own after I have ordered a red dot for the pistol. I also figured out the Backup Iron Sights (BUIS) are worthless once you install a red dot. Perhaps the Grand Power Engineers were very short sighted on that design feature(flaw). I reached out to Global Ordnance and they told me that a Suppressor Height CZ75 sight would work, but they failed to tell me which one. Has anyone actually mounted a Red Dot on this pistol with BUIS that can co-witness? Which optic was used and what BUIS were installed? If not, does anyone speak Slovak and knows the word for "Stupid Design" (Hlúpy dizajn)? At this point I'm ready to send the pistol in for warranty work and let the technical team at Global Ordinance and the Slovakian engineers come up with a solution that actually works so I can use it as carry pistol. Perhaps I'm the only person in the universe that has had a red dot failed only to use the backup iron sights, but I don't think so. You would have though that they would have figured this out first prior to releasing this pistol out to the public. Hopping someone can help so I can finally shoot this pistol!
@GBGuns
Ай бұрын
Yes, I've mounted a few different dots as shown in the articles. Yes you lose your irons and yes red dots fail. Use a dot for play time, if you're going to carry use irons. CZ75 front sights work with modification, the rear sight is a propietary cut. These are serious weapons, so worrying about a toy like a dot was not a priority.
@Quality_Guru
Ай бұрын
You are correct that the rear sights are proprietary as there are no backup rear sights available. I have reached out to Global Ordinance to escalate the issue to the engineering team at Grand Power. The majority of pistol manufactures have a solution with back up irons on optics ready pistols. I suspect that Grand Power should be able to manufacture BUIS for their pistols. This will take a half hour of CNC programming time to address a significant shortcoming in their design. To come out with a solution that doesn’t co-witness is a less than product compared to the rest of the industry. Otherwise, I agree with you 100% that this is a range toy. I’m looking forward to seeing how Grand Power and Global Ordinance respond to my escalation request. Unlike you, I am not dismissive of flaws/short comings in products. As a consumer, I expect more! Hopefully my feedback will be well received. In the end, we will both know if Grand Power is a customer focused company or if they just talk to talk, but don’t walk the walk.
