Also you can move your brigade behind the skirmishers and the skirmishers will keep agro as long as they are closer to whatever unit your shooting at, basicly making a 2nd line of fire behind the skirmishers while they're laying down

You have great tutorial videos! I noticed that you started these up again and wondered if you thought this video was still relevant/current or if this one needs an update. I just started playing a W&L campaign and realize there is a ton I don't know.

Hello, and thank you! I just re-watched the video. I don't think there's much here I would change if I were to redo this video. Sometimes skirms will lose 1 vs 1 against arty, but you can always send out another batch of skirmishers. Cav vs. arty is always tricky. I think cav usually wins this one, but sometimes they get really spooked if they get canistered and they're in a dangerous formation, but I think all those disclaimers were in here.

Thank you for the breakdown. Do you feel like the new arty line of sight mechanic has changed the way arty is best used? I have started using a few well placed battalions opposed to two 4 battery divisions who I can’t micro.

Not yet, but I may change when I play more. I thought the new "cones" they use more accurately represent the way line of sight was working in the past, but people couldn't figure out why they were obstructed. So, it may change what many people do now that they have better information about line of sight.

I feel artillery needs a good bayonet. My main army is heavy artillery seems to soften wings so I can roll flanks. I’ll always put skirmishes in some sort of cover and AI will always charge me to break
