Awesome documentary, it's sad that 6325 will never run again, but i hope in a future will be back in steam. Also the PRR T1 whistle that was used on GTW 6325 is now donated to the project of PRR 5550, greetings from México.

Grand Trunk Western engine 6325 is a very handsome "Northern" type 4-8-4 locomotive which formerly operated on the Ohio Central railroad during the early 2000's. Locomotive 6325 is now on display at Sugar Creek, Ohio and hopefully in the future this engine will be restored and returned back to operation ; as the 6325 had a very brief excursion service career only lasting for about 3-4 years.

6325 had an axle bearing problem nearly the entire time it was operating on the OC. It had a trouble with it on the inaugural trip in 2001. It was out of service early at Train Festival in 2004 due to the issue. I remember them towing it back to Morgan Run slowly with crew on the footboard spraying the axle with a hose to cool it off a few times. That engine has had an issue with an axle for years and that needs solved for it to run again. I'd also wager that 1551 is the cornerstone of the fleet. The Ohio Central was started so Jerry could play with steam trains and 1551 was the engine that started the story and operated the most on the system. A cornerstone is a foundation upon which something is built, and by definition that is the 1551 to the OC. The 6325 may have been the crown jewel of the collection, but it never turned the miles on the system that 1551 or even 1293 ever did. 6325 couldn't even be turned around on the OC, it was too big for their wye and was limited on trips it could run as a result. 1551 and 1293 put in more work to make the OC steam program what it was, 6325 was just the pretty face.

Thanks for the info about 6325's bearing and axles. Had I known that the engine always had bearing issues, I would've included it. In regards to the cornerstone, I didn't have extensive knowledge about the other engines on the OC, other than Canadian Pacific 2317, so I believed that 6325 was the favorite of Jacobson. I was wrong. However, I might do 1551 at some point, but no guarantees. I also will not remaster this documentary because the only thing that would've changed was the editing style, as much of the info would have remained the same. The reason I choose to remaster my 4449 and 1225 documentaries is that both of them had a lot of flaws and errors in them that warranted a remaster. If you would like a list of the engines I will do for SLP next, feel free to ask.

Hey I just want to ask, at some point this year hopefully I am doing a remaster to a short fan documentary I made about the now long gone mt. mitchell railroad, and yes I’ve taken inspiration from the 4449 pride of america documentary and the title and video being in a similar fashion, and I was wondering if you like to help out with some of the narrating like you and trainguy4501 did, now I just want to let you know that the script to it is not yet made but I figured I ask you beforehand if you’re in just incase, and idk how long it’ll be to where one guy can handle it just fine or I need a helper, will have to wait and see.

It is always my first priority to ask people to use their content. However, there wasn't an easy way for me to contact you via email or comment. I actually did leave a comment under one of your videos asking to use your footage of 6325, but I took it down later because you never responded. It was wrong of me to use your footage without your permission. In the future if I do decide to redo this documentary and many of the other ones on my channel, I will ask you if I can.
