These beans and a piece of cornbread are a great meal by itself!
Ingredients
2 1lb bags baby lima beans
5 cups water
1 medium onion
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup of olive oil
2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon granulated onion
2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dark chili powder
Kitchen Needs
1 medium stock pot
Directions
1. Chop onion set aside
2. In stock pot add oil, heat over high heat add onion, stir cook till tender.
3. Add flour stir again till well blended and onions are coated with the flour. Note: The flour will stick to the bottom on the pot, which is what you want.
4. Add both bags of baby lima beans, water and spices
5. Cook for 30 minutes until beans are tender and the beans broth has thicken. Salt to taste and enjoy!
