@@donkoh5738 16 hours seems like a reasonable guess because it looked like grandpa knew exactly the design and formula he was executing. Coz when u think abt the production behind and how widely spread the video is in China, u know what it’s all abt. Same old propaganda tactic - taking advantage of “tradition” to deliver a harmless and positive image of China to the world. Not trying to against any tradition or the man in the video. But if u know China well, u’ll know what I mean.

I am so fascinated by this man's beautiful mind, his ability to see the design of everything, translating it using wood and the most primitive of handmade tools, in a domain where everything has a purpose and nothing is thrown away. I can't say enough. An enviable Paradise of his own creation.
@emilyli0127

It’s actually not his creation. The chair was created by Lu Ban (c. 507-444 BC) and named after him. Lu Ban was a Chinese structural engineer, inventor, and carpenter during the Zhou Dynasty. He is revered as the Chinese god (patron) of builders and contractors.
@rebahensley5323

@@emilyli0127 yes. I am aware of that. Mb any of his designs are centuries old. However; he can create complex designs without a blueprint--a skill most dont have. He looks at a piece of wood and see art where others just see an old piece of wood. And he creates them with primitive tools. Grandfather is extraordinarily gifted and has a beauty about him that is very unique and special. I personally dont care who came up with any given idea. I am impressed by his ability to create.
