Not only is this an adorable sweater, but I LOVE all the photos on your blog in this pattern! The model is gorgeous, the lighting is perfect, the setting is casual and beautiful. I've just added this to my list, although there is no way my 3X version on this old lady will look as good, but I'll give it a shot. Thank you for including all sizes.

I have had a collection of green brown and gold yarn that's been taking up space for almost a year now in my closet and I've been wanting to make a sweater out of them but every attempt turned out blech. This is the PRETTIEST pattern I have found and I LOVE the end result design. I'ma give this a try with my yarn and see if I can learn some new stuff along the way. Thank you so much for this!!!

Oh my. I am now working on three of your patterns simultaneously. Your first 5 panel Tunisian temperature blanket, your patchwork Tunisian baby blanket, and now this lovely granny square sweater. Love them all. Thank you for introducing me to Tunisian crochet and I love your book on it too. Now I'm learning granny squares and how to join them. You have really enriched my crochet experience. ❤

Hi Toni, I'm looking at the written pattern on your website but the the images seem to be broken. Where you say "use these instructions to create the front and back" it's then followed by 3 blank images. Any chance you could restore them? Thank you!!

What colors would ya'll recommend to make this a Christmas sweater? I would want it to be not so much bright red and green, but something maybe a bit more sophisticated (if that's the right word).

I am making a granny sweater.. I know I am using a smaller hook but I am using some dk weight wool and acrylic mix yarn from Hobbi. Is it ok to add extra rows to each square to make the five inches? The colorway is making me think of fall..

Hi - this tutorial is meant to accompany the written pattern, as mentioned at the top of the video. Take a look at the written pattern for details on the granny stitch rows, which are what you need to make the sleeves.

@@TLYarnCrafts Yes, I purchased three of the four patterns from your website for the Learn to Crochet Academy. I’m having trouble understanding the pattern, so I went to the video. The pattern says to extend the size, add granny stitch rows. Do we add to the front and back? Patterns are still confusing to me. I was hoping to see how the sleeves were added.

Can I wet block instead of steam blocking?
@TLYarnCrafts

Wet blocking isn’t quite as effective as steam for acrylic yarn, but it’s worth a try ☺️
@kimlyne9700

@@TLYarnCrafts so it’s because of the yarn base and not because it’s a granny square. I’m a knitter so I thought maybe crochet was blocked differently. 🤣 I wasn’t able to get a kit so I got some wool/acrylic blend yarn.
