Absolutely love it Tom. Brings back memories of helping out on a farm during summer holidays in 1974. Ploughed a field with an old MF, milked cows, fed the pigs and piglets and loaded all the bales. Back breaking at times but as a Londoner I loved it. Keep em coming. 👌

I like the idea of a "LAMB STANDARD" tractor attachment range. When I was working on farms out in Kent a long, long time ago I can always recall lots of breakdowns that always were caused by the silliest of things like a weld that let go or a bolt that snapped or a belt/chain that jumped off. Long hot days spent underneath something with a spanner in hand. Just had to get it up and running as quick as possible. Nicely covered, thanks for posting Tom....

Quite fun to compare similarities with our small setup in Aus (although much bigger and less thrashed equipment here of course). Also interesting to see how tractor design has evolved from our 6255 (around 2003 vintage but newish to us, taking over from a Fordson Dexta as the main tractor on the farm). It seems to fit in fairly neatly between those shown here, with a paddle shift for some gears and direction like the big tractor, but still has a gear stick for range selection like the older ones.

No the factory discussion starts like this: CEO is talking…”Team we need to increase our productivity by 50% while cutting cost by 60%” a new MBA graduate has a idea that we can make the lower steps with 60% less metal which will save us money by using less steel and less hardware (2 less bolts) as well as save time by only installing 2 bolts instead of 4. The safety officer said out test shows the steps will break in 12 to 13 months. MBA talking again…..That is after the warranty so we also increase our replacement parts sales. Also we have saved on FTE because we had to let the Safety Officer go he was not a team player! Also we can say our equipment is “Green” because the broken steps can be recycled! MBA… see we hit the target and are ROI +

Not sure about 55 years between the tractors, 565 was only made from 1976, so can only be 48 years old. Again, it looks a good'un, probably worth more now than it cost new. Not teaching you to suck eggs, but please turn the engine off before going anywhere near the PTO. Not a good example for the young bucks who watch the channel.

I’m a new sub., who’s very much enjoying watching the machinery put to good work, and laughed at the philosophy of forcing the machine to do the work, (maximum power to the PTO… a little Clarksonesque 😊). The conservation area looks good and the red kites are clearly loving it. Where are you based ? Best regards from rural west Dorset.
