Gray Guitars is super proud to present this film that explores the creation of one of British Rock's finest modern albums 'Blur' by Blur.
Tom Gray chats openly and exclusively with Graham Coxon and super producer, Stephen Street on the 20th anniversary of the album that included classics such as 'Beetlebum', 'Song 2', 'On Your Own', 'MOR' and 'Chinese Bombs'.
Stephen is a legend in his own right, engineering, composing and producing for The Smiths, Blur, The Cranberries, The Kaiser Chiefs amongst many more.
The film became longer than any of us expected and runs at over an hour. As a huge Blur/Coxon/Street fan, I simply could not bring myself to cut any of the footage out!
We talk of 'Blur', recording techniques, riffs, songs and lyrics. We touch on musical influences, guitar chords, guitar pedals and recording techniques amongst many other subjects.
We naturally got onto the subject of 'Parklife - how the title track almost never made it to the record, it's appeal to this day and the sources of inspiration for it's inception.
Rough running order!
0 - 40 minutes: the 'Blur' album
40 - 50 minutes: guitar influences

I hope you enjoy it! Maybe watch it in bits or sit through the whole shebang!
