I live in Oklahoma City. This summer our Museum of Art had an exhibit of Frescoes unearthed from Pompeii. It was quite amazing.

Dear James, I'm from China, and also fascinating at art of painting. Your videos are of great help to me. But your time of live is a bit improper for me cause it starts at 1 a.m. in China. I really want to have the chance to chat with you in the live. I wonder if it's possible to shift to an earlier time😃

"Only artist we know who's killed someone." The only thing I even remember about Richard Dadds is that he murdered his father and the pavilion he did it in officially became named after him! Very interesting guy, but definitely a murderer. You could easily do an entire video on The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke by him. Anyways I loved this! Definitely wish I had watched it live, it looked like so much fun!

Great video. I was given a book of this some time ago, it's about time I started making use of it. The book is in Spanish: "Los genios de la pintura Cezanne". I was thinking of using pastels to try some of the still life paintings in the book.

you said that the egyptian still-life was painted 17,000 years ago. Not possible. Probably around 4500 years ago or so, depending during which dynasty
