last year I finished a 12,000 miles bike tour. My Brooks B17 is like an old comfortable chair.

Respect to this guy, the dangers he might have faced during his travels would be borne by him and him alone (and also anyone with him). Am Indian and not a fan of the English because of the British Raj. But, have to respect certain things about the British, such as their management and maximisation skills

I prefer a Santos Travelmaster above a Koga Worldtraveller. A good bicycle needs to being build by passionate builders, something Koga has lost since merging with multiple bicycle manufacturers.

insomb would you kill a human and use human skin for a bicycle seat?
@insomb

This seat is made to last decades though. I think they even have a range made from organically fed cows. I agree that we should be mindful in reducing our consumption of animal products but it's a seat that lasts a very long time. I think there are probably better places to more effectively disperse your idea regarding the ethical treatment of animals, right? I mean, how many people buy a pair of sneakers every 3 months or have a purse collection?

insomb brooks also makes vegan seats that i imagine would last just as long. i think this is a good place to speak on behalf of the animals because most cyclists are logical and compassionate people. it doesnt matter what food an animal is fed. the act of killing is inherently cruel. we wouldnt kill our dogs or cats or mothers, so why should we kill an innocent cow that has an interest in his or her own life?

I don't think the Cambrium is the same shape or kind of saddle but I will look into it. I admit I didn't put much consideration into an alternative saddle so thanks for that, I will have a look, but my point is, is that there are lots of other things which are much more wasteful than a saddle. I am a pretty aware consumer, I don't even own a car, hence why I am shopping for a bike saddle. But I have always wondered, like when someone becomes vegan, then what, they get rid of all their animal products? What if they had leather boots? Oh these leather boots don't represent my new identity anymore, I have to get rid of them now? The alternatives are generally sub-par, and often last a significantly less time if they are say, hemp or pleather or something, which requires more manufacturing and distribution. This is why to me, it seemed more logical to reduce my consumption versus turn into a vegan! If you are getting rid of all the old animal products that seems wasteful and then it's only about lifestyle. I do not want to directly support animal cruelty as a compassionate person but it is a truly difficult choice when they are saying things like soy has negative effects on males and well, if I'm being honest animal products greatly improve things in my life and the alternatives don't always seem like superior alternatives.
