I was recently fortunate enough to capture a Great Blue tending her nest of eggs during a windy evening and some near perfect lighting. I really enjoyed the wind blowing her plumage around as she stood up for 30 seconds or so to check on her eggs. This rockery is on a tiny island and there were many cormorants and great white egrets in the same area which can be heard in the background.
It was also great meeting Rich Wilbourn out there as we share so many of the same passions for photography. Check out his photos on Facebook if you get a chance.
