This is from last weekend's May 2-4 off road camping trip with Heather and the pups. What a time we had. If you've never roasted a chicken over the open fire before I recommend you do. It's pure bloody deliciousness. Hope you enjoy the vid by's. @Justin - Looking back on this, you should definitely do more of these types of videos with Heather ... especially with everything that has gone on in 2020. - 22:03 - Saku: **Thinks to himself** "What do you mean what am I doin? I'm doing what I do best - being lazy as s***!" - 26:53 - Saku: "Mmmmm ...ignore my drool, just feed me." - 29:18 - Justin **Thinks to himself** "By honey, don't come back unless you bring some freshly caught fish." :P

i agree well in my opinion i dont see any that have pulled off a whopping 68 days in the bush like Justin !!! we only see a fraction of what it took to do what he did and with his humour pride determination and love for nature and his dogs and knowledge this is a guy that will rise to the top !!! justin in this element is now my number one outdoorsman Newfoundland and Canada should be very proud of this man for showing us the beauty of nature not many of us get a chance to see due too the complexity of pulling off 68 days in the bush keep on watching ...🌲🇨🇦🌲

@@JustinBarbournlexplorer Back then there were only two tents 10x10, and 10x13. 10oz. fabric, sod cloths same as tent fabric. Guy points were all individual, not with cross bar. Door was like a tipi door, with pockets for horizontal sticks. No zippers. Stove pipe 'jack'/panel just fiberglass cloth. Pole set much thicker walled, and 1 inch diameter. Two individual sections for each leg joined with 'snap' lock and ferrule. Heavy in weight, these tents were the 'proto types' I guess. My tent has been beaten to hell, has had some repairs, but still functions.

Great video, I have same stove. The spark arrestor kni-co provides is crap and clogs up causing major flow issues. A screen over it is much better then inserting anything in the pipe, or as most do, put pipe on an angle away from the tent. But during fire season a spark arrestor is required by law on something like that. Cheers my friend from Thunder Bay,Ontario...Fred

I figure that you don't want to be patching sleeping pads because you are too busy patching burnt rafts. (Too soon?) I have had several Rangers. Best bush truck to get places. Last one was a 4WD stick trans with a locked differential. Beast in the woods. Watch the potato masher on the chimney top if you burn low or with green wood. It clogs up quick. Thanks for the video.

Yeah wasn't a fan of the masher it did clog so I took it out. Not sure if it's needed my other tent stove doesnt have one. I prefer an elbow pipe at that end i think to direct smoke flow
