It would be great if the stand has a charger using the 3 dots on the back of the ipad, like the magic keyboard and you can plug it in a more discrete location!! Great video, the frankenstein is like a very big frankenstein… With my 7 in one hub is ok for me… Great video…

Holy shit where can i get one of those 180° cables that will be shipping with the MagFloat? I know they’re gonna ship with the final product, and i intend to kickstart/order at least one of them, but I NEED those cables ASAP Does anyone know? Chris can you ask your contact at MagFloat? Surely they aren’t making them themselves?

Interesting video. But there's one thing I can't wrap my mind around. Why isn't there a good Magic Keyboard alternative that can also be used detached from the iPad? As in, you put your iPad on a stand at eye level and use some sort of wireless keyboard with trackpad (which supports all the gestures). You would think there would be a version of the Magic Keyboard which has a battery in it and could also be used detached from the iPad screen, but somehow I'm probably the only one wanting this?

I learned a lot from you from many of your ipad videos 🙏. Thanks for your videos ! . Regarding the ipad accessories, I feel an Ipad should be used as a tablet only for which it is designed for. Its Okay to have accessories like charger, keyboard, apple pencil, portable SSD. Beyond that , trying to make it a desktop and adding too many clutterings and wirings i feel totally unecessary. If someone wanted to use a desktop , better to have a macbook or a dedicated desktop instead of making a tablet as a desktop which it is not designed for. This is my personal view.

The only thing that would be better about that prototype is it somehow the base could also fold in so that if you wanted to just poured it around or put it in your backpack the base wouldn’t be a bunch of bulk that really wouldn’t fit well in a backpack. Imagine if you could take that thing to Starbucks. That would be sick! It’s kind of like the Lamie call stands that fold is what I’m thinking. Because you can actually fold those up and literally put it in a pocket if you had like some cargo shorts but it’s still great

We may never see it with the iPad but rumor is that the SD card reader and the HDMI port will return to the next MacBook Pros. I understand Apple's approach of leaving a lot of accessorizing to 3rd parties, but in the case of mission critical ports they've done their users a disservice. It cheapens their brand to push people into buying generic dongles of dubious quality to attach to their $1000+ iPads and MacBooks. OWC is probably the best but I've heard complaints about their reliability too, nothing beats a built-in port. Strangely, Apple's dongles are the most expensive and the least functional and aesthetically pleasing, as if they don't want you using them. 🤔
