@@Bellg All over the UK! Please, do not believe what It says in the Paper, as it is Lies!, the Papers will tell You there are less than 2 Million Christians left in the United Kingdom, yet My Local Diocese, Litchfield (which is, fortunately, one of the really conservative and Biblical ones, the Diocesan Bishop even uses the King James Version :) ) has *Over* 2 Million Baptized, Confirmed, and *Active* Members! more than the Papers will tell You that there is in the Whole Nation! and, again, that just Covers the Church of England (who are seeing such an increase in Numbers in some Areas that they may even need to start Buying some Churches back!) let alone the New Testament Church of God, which is Thriving! the Absolutely Skyrocketing Membership of the United Reformed, or the fact the Roman Catholic's are still holding on Gamely, My Town even has branches of the "Hyper conservative" Church of England Continuing and the Free Church of England that have recently Opened, I have *seen* the Resurgence in the UK with My own Eyes :) it is Real. What I have noticed in the CofE at least is, the more Liberal, Worldly and Unbiblical diocese are Dying off, yes, but that is Part of the Resurgence as more and more people come to the Truth of the Gospel, get born again, and start to Reject the false doctrines of the World as a Result, as the more conservative, Wordly and Biblical Diocese are starting to Skyrocket! Heck, for Proof here on KZitem, look how Massively Popular Josh Kirby of "Off the Kirb" is getting :) So, do not Believe the Papers as they are Full of the Lies of the Devil! It is only really in America where Christianity is Dying to Sadly be Replaced with the Terrible New Age Cult that is the new apostolic reformation :( and America is not Everywhere. Sadly, what is growing in Africa is not Christianity, but "oneness pentecostalism", a Terrible and Terrifying Cult that combines Intense Judaic Legalism of the Kind utterly condemned by Saint Paul in Several of His Epistles, the Presence of Unclean Spirits (The false "ibaughtahondashouldnashouldabaughtayamaha" Unbiblical "tongues" , the False Prophesies ("god told me that that Trump will win the 2020 American election" being a common one... False Prophecy and a Half!) , the Throwing themselves on the Floor and Writhing when the Word is Read, all Signs of Unclean Spirits that can be Found *directly* in all 4 Gospels! ) , New Age Witchcraft, and the abject *heresies* of Sabellianism (Oneness/Modalism/ Anti-Trinitarianism) which was Confirmed as Heresy by Saint Hippolytus of Rome a good *two Centuries* before Nicaea, and Arminianism, which was confirmed as a Heresy at the 1618-19 Synod of Dort ! it is not Christianity I am afraid :( Now, Fortunately, the True Gospel is also starting to Spread in Africa as the Holy Ghost, working in Doctor Voddie Baucham, has sent Him on a Mission in Africa to Spread the True Gospel of Christ Jesus our Lord, but it has a lot of Ground to catch up on :( I do hope that Helps open Your Eyes a little, Love and Peace.

@Mark W. Agreed, but the Rock Music Style (Which although Fine for a Concert on a Tuesday, I admit I do like a bit of Skillet from Time to Time... , does not belong *at all* in the Worship on a Sunday) is not the Biggest Issue with the Contemporary "church" Music, as Pastor Allen Parr of the BEAT pointed out in a Recent Video, much of the Contemporary Music is also *Dangerously Unbiblical* in its Lyrics and teaches the Heresy of "little god" New Ageism. Massive Red Flag, and its biggest Problem! So if anything, I say it is best to Stick to the Old Hymns, like this, as they are simply juty far more Theologically Accurate as they are taken Directly from Holy Scripture (old Testament) , meaning they are Safer so there is no Risk of "worshipping with Strange Fire" , which as we know can have terrible Consequences , as well as being far more Beautiful :) Do take care Brother, love and Peace :)

Like so many of you who have said in these comments below that this song had just came to you or you woke up with this song in ur head it happened to me. I know that of course it is not an accident. God uses the hymns of our faith (If we are TAUGHT THEM) to reach us just like he uses scripture memory verses. Please if you are reading this and you are a Pastor or Teacher or Leader or Dad or Mom or Grandparent or Church Member or whoever please help the younger remember these hymns of our faith. Make a playlist of the great hymns of our faith on here and have them playing in ur home or car for example. Play them in the background or use them in worship more or teach them the story behind the songs to help them remember these hymns. Make if fun. It doesn't have to be boring. They pull us thru so many hard times and we just do not pass them on like we should. There are so many different ways these songs have been recorded to appeal to any music listening preference. As long as we are getting the actual hymn in the minds of our up and coming Christians the stronger they will be in battle because there IS a BATTLE that we have never seen the likes of coming OUR WAY. May you experience His Faithfulness today and always. ~Danielle

This is my very favorite hymn of all time. Every denomination I've worshipped - Baptist (from American to Southern, Presbyterian, United Church of Christ). I believe I developed my abiding love of this hymn years ago while in the U. S. Army at Fort Lewis, WA and it has grown in my spirit and soul ever since. "Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord Unto Thee." Praise be to God. Amen.

Amazing that these words come from the book of Lamentations which is full of complaints then the writer suddenly bursts into this song of praise for God's constant love.

In the UK (particularly England), there almost doesn't seem to be a need for a choir as EVERY video that I've seen from English church services, the congregations REALLY SING!! WOW! That's an organists' dream here in the USA where in some churches the congregation just stands there looking like statutes in the park waiting for pigeons to come along and stain them. Just look at the worshippers in this video, EVERYBODY is singing and robustly too! BRAVO to them!!

Sorry to tell you but the congregation has auditioned to be in this video. I was in a songs of praise for my church. The cathedral was packed with people I had never seen who'd never show their faces otherwise. The regular congregation wasn't allowed to be there because they couldn't sing 😔

Thank you as of course I had no idea at all. I was so impressed by what I've seen not knowing the full circumstances of course. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I don't think the comment about the regular congregation not being allowed there is at all accurate, that would be like saying nobody that attends that Cathedral normally, ever sang at all. I was in a BBC Songs of Praise from St. Albans Cathedral and the congregation sings well anyway although they did invite members of other churches to come along to boost the singing. A good organist should be able to encourage people to sing. When you get a pathetic organist or someone who only plays the piano so hasn't got a clue how to play the organ or one that just can't play properly, no wonder people don't want to sing. End of unexpected rant.

+goodchappy I couldn't see any of the regular congregation at ours. maybe they were there, but I definitely couldn't see them. what I said about them being allowed there was probably an exaggeration. but the cathedral was filled with strangers.
