I used to live 4 houses down from that long train trestle where the Sequin River empties into the bay. Many, many years ago.

Thanks for the piano solo's. My favorite part of the music as you know. Just to let you know that watching the video that has been sped up, reminds me of the old Keystone Cops movies. Hilarious!!! Semper Fi.

Just spectacular. Spent many a day paddling and staying at a friend's cottage just north of Killbear. Got caught in the most wicked storm I've ever experienced too. Even had a pint at the Trestle Brew Pub after a canoe trip just a couple of years ago. Good memories flooding in. Homesick now.

@@staycool123 I have a DJI Mini 2... very capable drone, with a great camera set up. It is also sub 250grams so little to no restrictions (beyond common sense) flying it just about anywhere. Great longevity on the batteries too. I can usually get ~25mins of fly time on a single battery.

Hi Malcolm and Rachel. We’re enjoying your videos. We plan on starting the great loop in one year. What is your breakdown on cooking versus eating out? Thanks!
@staycool123
Жыл бұрын
Hi HopperRejects and thanks for following along! We do splurge and eat out once in a while to try local dishes but we enjoy cooking so we probably eat in 90% of the time and eat out about 10%. In some cases we might buy a little treat to have with a meal instead of eating out. All the best on your own great loop… you’re going to have so much fun on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!😎

Do you two ever stop for a bite to eat at any of the restaurants along the way or do you typically just buy groceries and cook on the boat? Love your videos.
@staycool123

Thanks for your comment Stephanie! We mostly buy groceries and eat on the boat but occasionally will treat ourselves to a meal out! You will see that in an upcoming episode. 😉 We sometimes get bakery treats or ice creams too. Thanks for watching!😎

Loved the video. Touched my heart. Years ago my parents would bring my sister and I to Giant Tomb island to camp for a few days. Georgian Bay is so beautiful. Can I ask do you happen to know the boat size limits to lock through the Trent Severn? Also low bridge clearance?
@staycool123
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Mark! Georgian Bay is beautiful! The Trent-Severn Waterway accepts boats up to 84 feet long and 23 feet wide with a draft of 6 feet. The bridge clearance is 20 feet.😎

Love following along! What do you mean by the boat didn't list anymore?
@staycool123
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Doug, good question! When a boat lists, that means it leans to one side more than another. When at rest a boat should be relatively level. Our 2 batteries are 165lbs each and were both located on one side causing the boat to “list” to that side. Now that we moved one of the batteries to the other side, the boat no longer lists to that side and feels more even. I hope that makes sense!
