I wasn't a fan of this style when it first came out, but definitely easier to look clean with the that face instead of chrome. You sure made her sing !

Would be nice to havd ond thdm that dong have the hi powr amp just 50 watts ssb 20 watts AM/FM only around $229 . Thd hi power doesnt transmit to long in car with engine off . Sweet looking radio . Maybe ranger will ipsate the drift.

I agree. I did not know these radios put out that much power. I used to run a 2510 with a palomar 4 power level amp that would do 375 dead key on setting 3 and audio more than 500. (was concerned to run it higher) THis little radio is a MONSTER ha ha. My wiring was good. He is correct. I had a welding cable run to behind the pickup truck seat to run the 10-11-12 meter amplifier and the 160 watt 2 meter amp. Had a ground cable run also to beef up the grounds. You cannot expect the steel in the car or truck to take that kind of power through high resistance spot welds. This is a good video.

I gave up and quit spending money on cb’s for SSB and bought a couple used HF Rigs But this RCI is a powerhouse in AM and he’s gonna love it . He really is a close friend of mine . We talk quite often He is so excited about winning and I’m proud for him !!

I have one of those radios and managed to open up to frequencies in the 26 mhz . Still can't find information to unlock the 27 MHz. Seems the information I get from everyone on line isn't correct.

Have you ever tested one to compare on 11 meters to these rangers and some their variants? Appreciate hearing your opinion. I have an HR2510 and its older sibling Lincoln as well as some other vintage stuff.

What shit are these people running ?? A standard power supply runs 13.8 v DC Regulated .??? In my opinion None of the frequency drift monkeys ,hold a candle to a Anytone AT5555NII .. Prove me wrong..
