Early settlers had implemented the grid plan in 1811. Today, Manhattan Plan celebrates it's 213th birthday... I ❤ NY

They Defenitely used a straight ruler while planning the city.. .. Every road looks exactly straight and also are perpendicular to each other at turns..

There’s a book I’ve read a book the end of 2021 about all that goes into building a city. It’s called The Works Anatomy of a City by Kate Ascher. If you’d want to look it up.

@@MTB214 Its nice to see how uniform the roads are visually... especially because am from India...where symmetry is no where to be found in our cities ....but I might not be interested in the technical part of it . But thanks for the suggestions..i will check it out..

Oh wow! That's pretty cool! In all my 40 years, I've never once been on a plane, and hope to keep it that way. But it's nice to see other people's views! -Dan

I’m not a big fan of it either but don’t have time to drive the 24 hours drive one way. Also, it was just 11$ round trip with one of the frequent flyer miles credit cards. Obviously, if get one always pay bill and no issues.
