Nothing like good Farm stories…I remember in the old days of Cotton Picking when we used wagons to dump the cotton in from 2 row pickers, then a bunch of school age children would walk it down and pack it in the wagon. Nothing like harvest! Don’t ever forget Daniel, you have very good situation, take of it and most importantly, yourself.

I was raised on a cotton, mllo, and cattle farm in central Texas. Back in the 60's, if we got a bale to the acre, it set the bar. I started watching your channel about 3 months ago. As I subscribe to other farming channels, i must say yours is the best. Information, crops, drone footage, family, fabrication, time lapse, co-workers, maintenance, all of it is the best! As your channel is addictive and entertaining, I have stayed up to the wee hours of the morning just to catch up on all your posts. I always can't wait for a new video.

Great video Daniel. First time I have seen a cotton harvesting machine. Fascinating piece of equipment. I never realized the amount of work that you and your fellow farmers do every day. You are an essential part of our society. If more people emulated your work ethic we would all be in a better place .Keep up the good work

Love hearing the old stories that you and Phillip were sharing. Ya'll have a long history around Central Alabama, please share some more stories. Last cotton picker I ever drove (back in the early/mid 80's) was a brand new John Deere 9920 two row, and we were still dumping into cotton wagons/trailers, as well as an old John Blue Module Builder (the type where the module was built on a wood pallet, not on the ground). The wood pallet holding the module would be winched onto a special built John Blue module trailer. Before the 9920, it was a pair of International 782 two rows, and before that it was John Deere 9900 two rows, and before that it was John Deere 299 two row picker. As a real little kid, I remember my father had a Rust brand two row picker with no cab.

I have a battery-operated air compressor that I carry on my bike in case I get a flat tire. Produces up to 250psi. It also has a memory, if you set it to the tire pressure you need, it remembers it so you don't have to reset the psi every time you go to use it. They have been on the market for a while now. Get one for your truck.

Watching you hook that trailer gave me an idea. Regardless of having a backup camera or not, hooking up a trailer could be improved. I think an electric rocker switch that would inch the truck forward or backward would be ideal.

Just curious.... how long does it take you to service every morning by yourself? If just one person does it on our farm its about 1.5 - 2 hour process. 2 or 3 people helping knocks it down to about an hour. That's checking fluids, cleaning units and moisture pads, top of basket, greasing, and filling up with fuel and water. Curious as to how other people fare. Thanks

It sounds like you need to help her out there giving you an extra set of hands when you’re cleaning everything up in the morning to get ready to run. Get some young kids that want to come out and give you a hand just to get some experience.

Still perplexed on the baler pickers...I know it's the "thing", but I still believe fall labor and module builders are SO much less expensive than a baler picker. I don't see how a new million dollar machine can pencil out in the black compared to $10.00 per hour labor.
