Who else was yelling at their computer? “You’re slotting it wrong” 😂

I was shouting at the slitting saw segment, but my message took quite a while to cross the Atlantic. Oh well. Mind you Michael you never heard my comment about why the bronze bush was not made like a top hat to provide a nice rubbing surface for the brake lever.

Why don’t you listen?! I told you you were 90 degrees out and you just ploughed on with that slitting saw. Oh well, you stopped it before it was a complete disaster. Hope Steam-Shop Dave and his house are OK, and I’m looking forward to the next instalment. And to seeing you ride this one, to hear whether it’s as good a bike as the standard Greeves but with all the advantages you’re looking for from the BSA engine. Thanks Michael. And next time…LISTEN! Michael, both my air cooled and water cooled, turbo and non-turbo Porsche 911 flat 6 cars have tended to do this if they were left parked on a steep slope, tail down. I have been told that it is due to the small amount of oil left in the dry sumps, seeping past the rings on a hot engine on the two rear cylinders. It can be so noticeable that my first thought was: "Oh no a blown turbo oil seal."

I always listen to Uncle Michael. I learn a lot and he always has the solution! I like the combined suspension mount nut/brake cable stop. Best wishes, Dean.

Michael you might need a brake return spring for the rear brake pedal

Hi Michael. I'm sure you already know, but a simple way of checking if an Aluminium part is magnesium alloy or not is to scuff it up a bit and drop it in a tub of vinegar. If it fizzes it's magnesium. I bet you already knew that!!!!!!!

Michael I did shout but I suppose you did not hear me from 3376 miles away and a few days late. A question as well, why did you put the flats on the cable sides not 90 degrees away.

You’re right about the front cable adjuster, the bracket and adjuster is included, assembled with the OEM front cable. Still available from Yamaha too!

If for the twinshock. The mono cable just has the adjuster.

I did laugh at your reaction when you realized your mistake.

Silver solder would be a better way to reclaim the brake thing slot than welding.
