Best TV show ever. Even after 50 years . Love the Hooterville cinematic Universe

I was a city person who moved to a rural area in my 20s. I was constantly exasperated just as Oliver was. Yet looking back my years there, it was hilarious!

Such a great surreal purely goofy show. Oliver is in a world where everybody else is on another wavelength he can't comprehend. Everyone else understands Arnold Ziffel when he grunts; only Oliver is clueless. And his wife Lisa seamlessly fits into the general weirdness. One of the best silly shows ever. I want to live in Hooterville. I'm glad this town name is grandfathered in; it's silly and purely innocent of modern connotation. Heh heh, I said:"Hooter."

I lived for three years in Hooterville - well, a rural place in Indiana where I moved in 1982. And believe me, Green Acres is Reality Television! I was constantly exasperated by trying to figure out a place where logic seemed not to apply. And there were real life oddballs as colorful and nutty as Misters Kimball, Haney and Ziffell. I felt just Oliver time after time. Yet today, as I look back at the “reruns,” it was hilarious.

I had a neighbor that had a weed farm ... He would bring over his product & I would put on a VHS tape( yup- that long ago) that had 6 hours of Green Acres on it .... by the third hour we would have to stop because we would laugh so hard.........

They're available at Amazon on DVD, but also stream with Prime; I just restarted watching. This was my favorite Summer break syndicated daily broadcast during the '70's. :D

Them small boys are middle aged by now. I was a little kid myself when these were new.

The young blond boy is Buddy Foster, Jody Foster's brother. He was born the same day as me, July 12, 1957. And I remember watching this episode the first time it ran on a BW TV.
