thanks for the video, i’m just still a little confused about the lighting and the purpose of each bulb and i could use some clarification. the long one is for UVB, one is for heat, and what is the other one?

Do you need a daylight bulb? I understand the uvb and the heat lamp…but what’s the purpose of a daylight bulb? Or if they’re already in a sunny room do they not need a daylight bulb? Great video, thanks! 🙏

Do you need uvb light if you have your enclosure right in front of a window with plenty of natural light?
@sithcdw

Uv is heavily filtered through glass. By the time the sun shines through the window and then through the glass tank, there will be almost none left

You should reach out to Wal-Mart and see if they want to sponsor a build!! Hahaha great informative video though :) I have 1.1 pairs of both green and Jamaica turquoise anoles set up pretty much the same just in front opening enclosures as they can be skittish can't they and I find it easier for getting in without scareing them.

We live in S Ga and had a Green Anole move into our tropical grow tent, a month ago. Day temp averages 80 and nighttime 68. Humidity is constant 85-95. We purchased a UVB and a heat lamp. Crickets, and live worms. The problem is that he doesn’t bask under the UVB light but sleeps on top of the fixture most of the day. He also takes off running when I start misting him. My question is, should we shoo him out of the greenhouse back into nature where he can get the right light? The weather is really cold right now with some freezing temperatures. Not sure what to do as we are quite fond of Zeus.
@ChiefSweetsUniverse

Haha if it’s pretty cool they won’t be exposed to much uvb anyways since uvb is lower than summer. Once temps warm up you can let him on his way back into nature. However if you do keep him you can just keep the uvb around since he will still probably be exposed to it somewhat through the day
