A green chutney, which is the perfect balance of spicy and tangy. It is best enjoyed with rolls, in chaat items, or pakodas! I will be posting a bunch of recipes that pair gorgeously with this chutney. Stay tuned!
Ingredients for 2 small bowls of chutney
60 gms of tamarind (palm sized loose ball)
1/2 cup water
70 gms mint leaves or a small bunch
60 gms of coriander leaves or a slightly smaller bunch than the mint
15-17 gms or 6 - 7 green chillies
20 gms of fresh ginger or 1 1/2 inch piece
40 - 50 gms or small block of jaggery
1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp rock salt
10 small ice cubes
