Best album of the year easily! I loved it! So happy to see the new album do really well. I'm going to see them live in September! Can't wait to see them. Some of my favorites are The American Dream Is Killing Me, Look Ma No Brains, Dilemma, 1981, Coma City, Coverette Summer, Strange Days Are Here to Stay, Living in the 20s, and Father to a Son! 10/10 album!

I wouldn't say best since AI but their best since 21CBD. It kind of reminded me of a modernised take on 21CBD with some of the tracks like Living in the 20s. I definitely think Green Day are heading back on track with this album, a good comeback especially after Father Of All...

Last decent one before this was Revolution Radio. I really like this one. Bobby Sox reminds me of Weezer kinda too. The really soft ones I’m not a fan of. Father To A Son is a really good song though!

nice review John. I just added it to my library and look forward to playing through it a bunch of times. Tempted to get tickets to see them in DC with the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and the Linda Lindas this summer. They announced on Howard Stern the other day that they're playing all of Dookie and American Idiot in its entirety for the show, though I hop e they play some of the new songs too (and I can never get enough of Brain Stew/Jaded). I'm curious to hear your opinion of a favorite artist of mine, Ryan Adams. He just released four (five if you include a live album) albums all on New Years Day. Each album is pretty different in terms of style/genre. One album ('1985') is pure 2 minute or less punk tunes, one album is straight up rock ('Heatwave', possibly my favorite), and the other two are more of what he's put out over the last several years (with 'Star Sign' being maybe the best of them all). I'd highly recommend you try out 'Heatwave', then give 'Star Sign' a listen, both are really great solid albums with fantastic tunes throughout.

Wow! Lots of people, a LOT of them, are reviewing this new album and going on about it quite unlike everything I've seen before. You'd think that Jesus Of Suburbia, and possibly Forever Now (Rev Radio,) as well as some excellent songs from the Trilogy, would have sealed the deal by now and nobody would expect much more from Green Day. Looks like people are really digging it and when you consider how long they've been doing it, a really eye-opening album is almost unheard of at this stage in the game. The Boys In Green are back in town!!

Hi John!!! First i must confess i'm not a big punk fan, have some Ramones cds and back in the day burned copies of "Dookie" and "Nimrod", fun band, but i think back then they got overplayed and stop listening to them, not even "American Idiot", it's cool to hear this is a good return to form and still playing. cheers and be well
