if you have watched top tutorial makers, they all first show what you going to create(end result) then they go ahead and start, many people can't simply get tuned to watching a tutorial without knowing exactly the effect they are going for, what if its not what they are looking for?

Because the typical tutorial makers instead spend the first 3 minutes telling you about their day chatting about bullshit that's completely irrelevant to people watching it three years later. Be thankful that this guy didn't waste your time like the usual tutorials on here. If you're worried that the tutorial might suck, look at the likes and dislikes.

That's because these tutorials are not meant for people with an over-bloated sense of entitlement. Jerk !

If I'm shooting green screen footage, should I shoot in Standard profile rather than a Flat profile, since the dynamic range of the surrounding set is going to be keyed out anyway? I'm using a DSLR that shoots in h264. Anything other than Standard profile deletes usable color information, or so I've read. So, since I don't need DR in my shadow areas, should I just shoot in Standard?

I would've given the girl's shadow a more bluish tint given that the cave shadows have a bluish tint. Her black shadow doesn't fit the cave environment. I would've also chosen a more balanced outfit for the girl to wear. Such a dark black outfit still makes her seem separate from her environment. You aren't able to incorporate the lighting of the cave into her lighting through grading because of her dark black outfit.

***** It doesn't help that they dressed her all in black. But, dressing her in black made her easy to key out. But, also makes it harder to integrate her into the scene. Her shadow was black, when it should've been more blueish-gray to make sense with the environment.

The mechanics are just fine... the art, not so much (color correction is pretty lousy, as neither the girl nor the bats match the cave shot). Reminds me of early Dr. Who (not the 2005 new series but the old Tom Baker stuff). Folks should be aware that what you need to match is the stuff you are keying -- for example, the shadows on the stalagmites and mites are very transparent blue, so so should her shadows be, including those on the actress herself. Not only that, but her focus is MUCH sharper than the cave stuff, which wouldn't be half so bad if it were just background, but you are also making it foreground elements (so in this case your best bet is to blur her some as well). But, as I said, the basic mechanics are there, and folks can at least see how you should start, even if there is still a LONG way to go on making this shot work.

Right, and I hate to criticize anyone who goes through the time and trouble to make tutorials like this -- after all, it's not like we're paying anything. I just wanted folks to understand there is far more to a good FX shot and that they can do better. But keep learning! (There's almost no end to the learning involved in FX. Sigh).

Dear Sir, What are the White Plus Markers usually placed on Green / Blue Screens which i often see in VFX Breakdowns of movies. Kindly upload a video video in which compositing using Green Screen over a moving background video (suitable having a dolly track shot vertical or semi circular). Thanks in advance

+someone true the plus markers are a lighter shade of green that will still get keyed out. they're used for motion tracking.
