That part was done correctly actually. I’ve started CPR several times when the heart rate dips into the 20s and low 30s (if they’re unresponsive). It’s the right course of action because you’re not perfusing your vital organs with a heart rate that low

There is something called pulseless electrical activity. There is electrical mechanical dissociation. So even tho telemetry demonstrates a heart rate, the heart is not actually pumping or is too weak to mechanical pump

I know its just a telenovela (and I know this one because its from my country lmao) so we shouldn’t take it too seriously.. In addition to what people have already commented, it may seem that pulse and heart rate are synonymous but not really. You can auscultate heart a rate but not feel pulses. Also, as in the scene, you really can’t get the actual heart rate when doing CPR because the monitoring equipment would read your CPR work haha

I never expect any medical scene to be anywhere near realistic in Philippine movies and tv shows. I mean, patients commonly talk while intubated here... 😆 Add: I doubt shows here even have medical consultants on board... Also: For what it's worth, these people probably actually know better than what it appears... I know it happens that shows may just hire any hospital staff on duty at the time to play these small extra roles, so those could be actual nurses... They were probably told to have their fingers positioned that way to avoid accidentally groping the actress. And, yes, they do shoot these in actual hospitals. They just choose an unused bed or something. I expect they just set this up really quickly for the scene so notice there aren't even any IVs set up or anything.

Showed couple of your vids to hubby, cause you're funny as fuck. He proceeded to watch every single greenscreen vid you made. You had him roaring with laughter and crying tears of joy. Cheers

In NZ, we had our national soap drama show a doctor fail to revive his dying son with CPR. Probably because he was still sat up in the hospital bed. And because the cuts between dramatic closeups made it look like he was giving his THIGHS the compressions.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT, "She's going to end up more braindead than the person who was consulting for the show." THAT LINE IS SAVAGGGEEEEE

I love how there is absolutely zero sense of urgency. Like no one is doing anything, just basically standing there going idfk what's going on. The couple looks so awkward standing there lol

As soon as I saw the nurse patting the patient on the chest like she's telling them they're going to be okay, I lost it.

15 year medical professional here. This video left me entirely conflicted, between laughing hysterically at Jason's meming thriller CPR and wanted to snap my phone in half at watching someone do tantric chest compressions. The irony of both isnt lost on me!

I could watch an entire movie of just this guy invading Firefighter and Medical shows, and laughing at how unrealistic and melodramatic they are.

the studio who release these tv shows were known in our country to produce relatively low quality shows, glad you were able to review them

The funniest thing about seeing this in my recommended is the fact hat today I have my CPR test and I absolutely won't be doing CPR like THAT
