While I've heard Greensleeves many times before, I've never heard "Greensleeves to a Ground". Sounds much the same, but has more "substance" to it in my opinion. I should try this on my tenor at some point soon. 🎶

for me too this greensleeves it is similar but not the same of the melody that we all sing and play, the bass too is a little different, not so much but a little
@akumaki88

Nice pice of melody. I have recently bought an alto recorder and hope that in a few years I can play Bach's Toccate and fuge in d minor. I have bought Aldo Bolvas "Virtuoso Pieces for Alto Recorder". Of course I have to start at an other place and "Greensleves to a ground" is very nice. One question though: In the first line you play the note E. How do you do that? The lowest I can play is a F.

Grazie, ho trovato!
@unagondolaunremo

@@unagondolaunremo Thank you very much. I shall have to give it a try - I expect I will make some pretty horrible noises to start with. Incidentally, one of the things I like to play are the recorder sonatas by Handel. They are for alto rather than tenor. I noticed that the highest note he ever goes to is high E flat, which is fingered like B flat on the tenor; presumably this is becase the notes above that were not so "safe", especially on the recorders in his time? That's what I find - high C is reliable, but high D I have to blow pretty hard, and it sometimes "misses", although not as often as it used to...

I don't want to offend you by no means. It is just my feeling. The guitar accompaniment is not very professional.
