They got done for discriminatory hiring practices years ago. Plus I worked at one of their stores and from what I could gather their all bitter old fucks who don’t like to see a smile in their store let alone a laugh

I'm pretty sure that they just used that as an excuse to get him to leave. They probably wanted to avoid a stranger looking like he worked there and giving the idea of offers that weren't real. But ... I'm pretty sure that deep down u know that already.

Not so much the companies but the miserable people they tend to employ at lower middle management level. Every one I've encountered in the ten or so jobs I've had in my life has been a joyless creature full of fear. They expect you to be like them because they mistake their disposition for professionalism.

The genius of this (the earlier versions where he isn’t well known) is that the idea of any marketing exec signing off having an eccentric guy in a garish purple jacket outside one of its stores is obviously absurd. However because it’s executed with so much poise and charm, it actually becomes sort of plausible. A truly unique and remarkable character.

I have heard that people his act if condescending (which is a little ) but as the "greaters guild " he is nothing but charming ....People love him because people simply aren't charming enough in this day and age ...a simple compliment with no agenda is so well received ..👍
