This story alone makes it worth filming a whole biopic on Mad Dog lol. Such a unique wrestler and great man who had a tremendous influence on pro wrestling. The definition of old school. I think Mad Dog was one of the inspirations for Wolverine because they share similarities; a tough Canadian with a small stature, gravely voice and wild as hell. Greg's impersonation of him is uncanny. It's like he's possessed by Vachon in person. Literally a copy/paste. The way he tells the story is captivating and Jim's laughter is contagious. Jim's input is great too. He lets Greg tell his story, something a lot of interviewers forget to do with their guests nowadays.

Nick Bockwinkle told the same story, but Nick's and Greg's versions can't both be true. Too many major contradictions. I'd say Greg is highly exaggerating to make the story more exciting, while Nick toned it down a bit (because Nick had class). The truth is somewhere in the middle.
@wilfred8326
2 жыл бұрын
Remember Bockwinkle was a trained pilot so he might not have been in panic mode right away and had a job to do, as well if you acting as part of the flight team you can't be worried about shenanigans just worried about getting it down. Also he (Bockwinkle) had likely done things like checks etc to make sure the plane was OK and then they were waiting for Mad Dog while the plane is ready so Nick is waiting in the cockpit....
