One thing I loved about Greg’s roasts was he never paused for a laugh break in his delivery. A lot of comedians deliver the joke and then go silent to allow for the laughter, but Greg never did that, he’d just do joke after joke back to back, he was like a machine gun.

Fun fact: Greg passed the Bar exams after attending Harvard Law, and worked as a lawyer for about a year before he quit. In 1993, Jeff Ross was being charged with inciting a riot. Greg had the case dismissed after 2 sessions.... Pro Bono. Which is a crime in itself, he should have let that Hack rot in jail. (I'm teasing, love you Jeff) Worked that hard, for that long, and still realized that his passion lead him elsewhere. You really are a fucking legend, thanks for all the laughs.

You should watch all his roasts to see what Greg was made of. He was so much more than a roast comedian, but he became famous for those because of his razor sharp intellect and incredibly witty remarks. @@Shane-5150 honestly without that drugs I think he would have put out a lot more material. It's not like musicians doing shrooms or smoking weed and maybe that inspires their creative side. Greg was just doing hard core drugs and drinking and partying . I get it , I'm just saying it's not like he woke up after a week binge of crack and booze and had a notebook full of killer jokes I do agree the part of him that drew him to that lifestyle is the same part that would have never been happy being a doctor.
