Pop sounds like a proud "Dad" speaking about Tim Duncan, this is who Steve Kerr learned from and this is why Kerr is so extra special to Golden State. Pop is human and Kerr is human and that's what sets them apart from simply earning paycheck. They're both special human beings in professional sports and it shows!

Jordan, Kobe, LeBron and other truly great alpha-male "legends" probably would listen to this or Tim's HOF induction speech and clearly realize how obviously they didn't match up to this level of class as human beings and as supportive teammates. You don't hear people who worked with them speak of them in these terms. It doesn't mean that they were "bad". It's just nice to hear these kinds of qualities that far transcend the basketball court being rightly lauded.

@@svenkreuzberg2274 You read the post wrong. Jordan and Kobe were total assholes that earned the respect of their peers but were never loved like this. Phil Jackson retired twice because they were impossible to work with, players left their teams to get away from them, dynasties splintered because of their egos. Jordan and Kobe were, elite, incredible players but the quality of their character is not what anyone remembers about them.

Rodman's rebounding prowess in the second three peat.
