I just picked up a loaded 2012 Streetfighter S at my local used bike shop. It was consigned by an M&M Mars executive. 303 miles and roughly 14k in parts. Your video and a few others really helped me pull the trigger. I love the 1000+ class and I can't get enough of the dry clutch. Take care of her next season :)

Heya. THANKS. Limited space here. You send Shift-Tech yours, and then they do the necessary alterations, and send it back to you. If you have the tools I am pretty sure you can do it yourself. But be very careful removing your rear foot pegs. Taking them off is very hard and it is easy to really scratch your bike. The Led / License plate removal system I used is Competition Werkes, in Oregon. Mine is the STEALTH tail tidy. Again, if you are a bit savvy you can do it yourself. GOOD LUCK!

Gausereporting I just picked up a sf848 dark stealth and I'm leaning towards the shift-tech exhaust. Did you go with that style over their termi version for a reason? I like the one you have one here, who do go through to get it installed? Last question, how is the bazzaaz working for you? Thanks, and subbed btw.

P Banks HI, sorry I took so long to get back to you. I got that exhaust because I thought it looked the best out of all the options, and honestly in person it is Awesome. You buy it directly from Shift-Tech Carbon in Florida. You have to take off your headers and send it to them because they have to do a little modification, and then they send the whole unit back to you. You have choices of: blacked out, exhaust valve removal, db insert baffles. Just email them and Guido will help you. Mine is version 2, and now I think they are on version 3, but you can just talk to them about it all.

That Exaust is freaking Sick, how it wraps around and then is tilted up so that naked beautiful rear wheel is showing nicely next to the carbon fiber! I hate when people get the dual Exaust and end up covering the view of the single sided swing arm with the dual pipes on the side instead of getting dual exaust kits where the pipes are nicely coming out underneath the seat like 2 Rockets lol 😂. So big props to you on your choice and style of exaust bro.

It is 1 inch lower than stock and has a more comfortable bend, and it makes the bike handle a little quicker. Its a great option. I currently use the 005, which has even more bend and I have them turned down a bit, like clip ons, and they are cut of an inch on both sides. This makes the bike handle even quicker and a little easier to hang off.

The seat is very high and I'm 5'8 with about 30" inseam. I have no problems although I can't even come close flat footing it. If you have ever ridden large MX bikes you wont have a problem as the weight of the bike isn't an issue. This is one my favorite bikes of all time that I own. The bike is very visceral and handles amazing. The power is addictive and the bike begs to be ridden fast. The bar ergonomics and seat position are not an issue for me as I have long arms. Beautiful Bike BTW!!

I own several Ducati's and I will say that the 1098SF is unequivocally the most exhilarating bike I have ever ridden. I would love to try the Aprilia Tuono V4 but just cant get past the looks. If Aprilia makes a factory version with better colors I would definitely consider it. I hear the bike is amazing and extremely fun to ride. Next year Aprilia is updating there bikes. I want an to see the new iteration of the SF next year. If its anything like the panigale it will be a home run. IMHO

No, I was trying to remember the name of the Exhaust Valve. It opens below 5000rpm and lets the bike run quieter. But if you remove it or close it then the bike runs smoother below 5000 (yes a little louder). I believe the Catalytic Converters are in or near the stock mufflers, and they were removed when Shift-Tech did the exhaust.

I'm almost 6' 2" and the bike is totally comfortable. Rizoma has a handle bar called MA008, which is 20mm higher with a very comfortable wrist bend, if you need any more room. I only had the Shift-tech on without the Bazzaz for a few weeks. It didn't ever back fire and maybe only mild pops on decel. Once the Bazzaz was in, I quickly did the auto tune and never had any issues, maybe only once in a while hearing some mild pops. Most recently I have had a custom tune, just a few rides so far, and only noteworhtry because the AFR is about 13.4/13.5 - 1. Much leaner than before, and so far there has still never been a back fire and really only the mildest pops, if any.

Hi Doug. Sorry for the lag in answering. Well, I hurt my back, not riding, and it was severe enough that I had to move near family to recover for awhile. My wife's family is here in Clearwater and it worked best to come here. Yes, Im in Clearwater, like 10 miles away. Anyway, that's how the bike got here. There was one owner between you and I and I know hm well and he treated the bike very well too. I'd be happy to meet up and tell you about the bike if you wanted or have any questions. Nice bike, enjoy some of the attention to detail. jmoth79, on my zx6r, when the dealership installed the slip on and power commander, noticed a lot of backfiring. Found out it was the conflict between the upgraded mods to the emission system. So after gutting out the smog canister, and emission box, reroute some hoses and put some block off plates, got rid of the back fire and runs sublime. So with that said, Ducati might have a similar system.

I understand, but Street Triple is a fantastic bike. Its true the SFS is a step farther up the performance ladder and I can tell you that everywhere I go the bike just PULLS compliments, but to get all the mods that I have done to it, you could have two new Speed Trips. If you've got the money, spend it, if not, save for it. Its worth it.

I'm having the same exhaust made for my SF 848 right now. Did you have Guido at Shift-tech do the coating on the exhaust? If not, where did you have it done and what kind of coating is it? Ceramic? Thanks! Gorgeous bike!

Hi Craig. Thank you very much. My exhaust is by a company in Florida called Shift-tech Carbon, or just Shift Tech. Guido is the owner and you can go to the website and email him with questions. You can research them on Ducati.ms - the Ducati forum.. Mine specifically is their 2nd gen Streetfighter 2 into 1 GP exhaust. Also its blacked out, has the exhaust valve removed and No exhaust baffle. Around $2,000. There is also a great Slip-on by SC Project, for about $700 that looks Really good.

Hi Greg. First of all I want to congratulate you on the awesome work you have done with ur SF! I'm looking to buy the SF848 soon and I am really inspired by your work. I think I have everything sorted except for the exhaust and the LED lights. Can I get the pipe directly from Shift-tech so that I can simply bolt it on without having to do any other mods? And where do I get the LED Lights for the vents and would you have instructions for fitment? Let me know and any help is much appreciated!
