Growing up in a mostly rural area practically all the girls were "redneck" to some degree. Just love them. Gretchen not only talks the talk but walks the walk. With this song she brought out what the city folk is missing.

I’m born and raised whole life in the southern US so this song so this songs lyrics are so spot on! I stay barefoot outside even in winter unless I’m going in public, ride 4-wheelers through mud for fun, can be loud and in your face (not mean just loud lol), buy bras at target, hate champagne and we all have a country accent that’s non-country folks think it means we’re slow or illiterate which is totally untrue..we’re just lazy speakers and have a ton of country slang that we have just make up as we go and the slang becomes just how we talk..I always cringe a little inside when non-country folks hear or are react to “southern people” because I know we come off as dumb hillbillies a lot of times and it gives the south a bad image that is very hard to erase..intelligence in people here are average or better or even genius level in a lot lot of us..I always tell non-country folks who hear us talk or country music or whatever to get to know us and not base your impression on how we sound..thanks for the reaction!

This is a country girl’s anthem. I actually love all her music…. She can kill on a fast, upbeat song yet slay you with a ballad. My all time fave is probably I Don’t Feel Like Loving You Today…because every married person has had that moment and those thoughts. If we’re doing upbeat, Here For the Party or All Jacked Up should probably be next.

Her video had a list of top Country music stars. The woman at the table, that kicks up her heel, is Tanya Tucker. The 2 guys in the trailer are Kid Rock and Hank Williams Jr. (Bocephus). At the end, the 2 guys on the right, in the scene before Tanya Tucker appears again, they are Big and Rich. If you want a really wild video and song, watch the offical vid for their song, "Save a Horse Ride a cowboy".

This is Gretchen Wilson's breakout video, and there were a lot of cameo appearances helping to launch her country music career. Longtime country star Tanya Tucker in the audience, kicking when Gretchen points her out, Hank Williams, Jr and Kid Rock in the mobile home, and Big & Rich (and some other Muzik Mafia members?) in the crowd at the end.

Back in the 90s I was in the Army and stationed in England. I am a terrible singer, totally tone deaf, but in the US I would to karaoke because most people sucked. We went to a Karaoke bar in Cambridge and I was shocked because everybody was great. People tried to get me on stage and there wasn’t a chance in the world. This is to say karaoke bars in the US and England have a different philosophy.
